Gráinne Ale Festival Comes to Westport Estate This May

Wild Atlantic Honey & Mead Ltd is delighted to support and participate in the inaugural Gráinne Ale Festival, taking place at Gracy’s Pizzeria, Bar & Bistro, Westport Estate, on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st May.
The festival promises a vibrant celebration of Irish craft drinks, local food, music, and culture under the banner:
“Beoir, Bia, Ceol agus Craic”
(Beer, Food, Music and Craic)
Bringing together a unique mix of independent breweries, distilleries, and craft producers from across the west of Ireland, the event highlights the growing strength and creativity of the region’s artisan drinks sector.
Wild Atlantic Honey & Mead Ltd will join fellow producers including:
- Mescan Brewery
- Stonewell
- Fierce Mild
- Lough Gill Brewery
- Drioglann Loch Measc Distillery
- Otterbank Brewing & Blending
and others for a weekend showcasing premium Irish craft beverages and local hospitality.
For Wild Atlantic Honey & Mead, the festival is an opportunity to collaborate with other independent producers while helping revive interest in mead — Ireland’s oldest drink — reimagined for modern audiences using real Irish honey and traditional fermentation methods.
The event also reflects the growing momentum behind the West of Ireland’s food and drink tourism offering, supported by the Wild Atlantic Way and Mayo County Council.
Visitors can expect:
- Tastings and sampling
- Artisan food offerings
- Live music and entertainment
- Craft drink showcases
- A relaxed festival atmosphere in the grounds of Westport Estate
As a company rooted in heritage, biodiversity, and premium craft production, Wild Atlantic Honey & Mead is proud to be part of an initiative celebrating local creativity, collaboration, and authentic Irish experiences
